This striped afghan is a celebration of the New England countryside in autumn. #5. Finally Fall Bunting Free Knitting Pattern
This bunting would be great for any season with a simple change of colors. Gauge is not important. Use any yarn and any needle. Make as many polygons as you want for the desired length of bunting.
The Bunting is worked as individual 5-sided, irregular polygons from the top down. After working a few rows evenly, decreases (ssk & k2tog) are made at the start and end of the rows to create the point.
A crochet chain connects the polygons, but you could simply stitch through each top with a whip stitch or flat stitch. Tassels are made for each piece and attached to the point.
