Kathy Beers is a knitter from Omaha, Nebraska. Nancy sits down to chat with this visually impaired crafter about the many ways she gives back through knitting. She's truly inspiring!
As a young girl, Kathy attended a school for the blind. She was so touched by how the Lion's Club was there when she needed it, she decided to become a member as an adult. Learn how their work impacted her life and how the Lion's Club White Cane Days helps so many others. That's not all, she volunteers at a local daycare, knits hundreds of mittens and hats each year for children, volunteers at AARP, and is retired from a 36-year career with a local telephone company.
