Free Knitting Pattern Friday!

This is a new feature you can expect every Friday on our blog! Free Knitting Pattern Friday! I think it's a great way to start the weekend - a free knitting pattern that only requires one or two balls of yarn. Since, this is the first in the series, I thought I'd kick things off with a dozen, (yes..count 'em, twelve!) free knitting patterns for you to enjoy. Happy weekend knitting!

Manos Botany Scarf Pattern

Big Cowl Knitting Pattern
Free Big Cowl Knitting Pattern
This is an ultra-quick knit pattern that's perfect for knitting while at sporting events, watching a movie, or hanging out with friends. It's knit entirely of garter stitch (knit every row), so your mind can be occupied on other things while your hands stay busy. It's also great for a beginner. The Big Cowl uses 2 balls of Plymouth Baby Alpaca Ultimo yarn and size US 13 needles. Here's the Big Cowl Knitting Pattern

Bamboo Bloom Hat & Scarf Pattern

Free Bamboo Bloom Hat and Scarf Pattern
I love this yarn! Bamboo Bloom is a thick and thin yarn that has both matte and shine. That makes it loaded with texture and definition. You simply knit and purl and the yarn does all the work creating tufts of fluffy wool in the midst of the shiny bamboo. The hat uses 1 ball of Universal Yarn Bamboo Bloom and for the scarf you'll need 2 balls of Bamboo Bloom yarn.  Both are knit on size US 9 knitting needles. Here's the free pattern for the Bamboo Bloom Hat and Scarf.

Honey Cowl Knitting Pattern

Knit a beautiful cowl perfect to wear now over light weight tanks and tees. Madelinetosh's hand dyed Tosh DK yarn shows off the waffle stitch pattern. And, as you can see in the photo this cowl looks good on either side. Make a 1 ball version or longer two ball version, you pick!

Here's what you'll need for the Honey Cowl
