Wisdom Pix Yarn Review
Hello NobleKnitters. It's Donna and I'm the Knitting Doctor here at NobleKnits. Today I'm joining you to share a really short video about a nice little sock yarn called Wisdom Pix. This is a great little fingering weight sock yarn. It's 75% super wash wool and 25% nylon. It's 459 yards per skein. So you get a lot here. You can knit one pair of socks with one ball of this yarn. There's a free sock pattern online which is going to give you your basic sock.
The other thing that is nice about this yarn is the fiber content. It doesn't have that "nylony" type of feel. You know, some sock yarns that you work with they have a lot of crimp, and a lot of spring back, and a lot of crunch. This one actually doesn't. This one feels actually like 100% wool yarn. Your project, whatever you choose to make, is going to actually stay the way you knit it. You won't have to do a lot of excessive blocking to flatten it out, but I think are still going to get a lot of spring and bounce out of it.
Now, onto the color ways! There's 8 color ways available in Pix yarn. You can take a look at them all online. The ones I pulled out to show you, show the range of colors. This one is greens with fuchsias, here's one with autumn colors. and some purples and blues here so you can see the mixing.
These are actually a Fair Isle patterning yarns. The yarn itself is actually going to give you the motif. You don't have to worry about any complicated cables or stitch motifs to get something that is just a little bit different looking.
Again, it's Wisdom Pix sock yarn in some really great color ways. Thanks for watching. Take a look at the free pattern in the link below. If you like this video give us a thumbs up, comment, and subscribe to our YouTube channel. Thanks so much for watching.
