I knit the Butin necklace for my mom's birthday present. I loved it! Now I need a knitted one for myself!

I also knitted the Butin necklace and found it to be a delightful change in knitting. I like variety in knitting and this fills the bill. I hope to be able to do more knitted jewelry and perhaps even try my own hand at designs.

ReplyDeleteI love knitting jewelry. I use lace-weight silk and knit i-cords. With the completed i-cords, I make Celtic knots for necklaces and bracelets. For other necklaces, I cut the handles from orphaned vintage silver spoon and fork handles and bend them to form a bail for a pendant. I then hang these from i-cord to make necklaces. These are really popular at arts/crafts shows.
ReplyDeleteI love to knit and starting to knit the Tiffany beaded necklace in blue. I would love to knit this one since it is perfect for fall. I like that I can now create my own jewelry using my skills in knitting.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to add my name to Blogger. Sorry!
DeleteThis necklaces is so lovely - I've made simple I-cord necklaces and bracelets. Think it's time I branched out, don't you?
ReplyDeleteKnitting jewelry is very pretty. My mil makes beauties and give them to all daughters and dil for Christmas. Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteI have never knit jewelry before, but I just saved a very cute braided necklace on Ravelry that I'm going to make as a gift. Also, I've been thinking of knitting a lanyard to hold my thread cutter and needle case, and stringing them on as if they were beads, but I haven't found a pattern yet!
