Frantic Knitter's Scarf - Uses one skein of Knit Collage Pixie Dust Yarn

I was sitting here trying to work...all day, the yarn kept looking at me *stare!* demanding me to knit it. I gave in and, less than an hour later, one lovely scarf! This yarn is one of the most indulgent yarns I've ever had the chance to knit. Hand spun in India, Knit Collage's Pixie Dust yarn is lovely spun bobbles. Scattered throughout are bits of complimentary colors and sparkly metallic. The randomness of the glitz and the pops of color combined with the hand spun bobbles makes Pixie Dust seem magical. Oh, and I forgot to mention how soft it is! It's a lovely combination of mohair and wool that feels fabulous to the touch.

What to knit with a yarn that is as thick as your thumb? An open lacy, super chunky scarf. With just 35 yards on the hank, I wasn't sure if I would have enough to make a scarf. I was pleasantly surprised to find that one skein was plenty to make this perfectly sized scarf.

Frantic Knitter's Scarf - Free Knitting Pattern

Completed Scarf Measures: 4 x 62"

You will need:

• 1 hank Knit Collage Pixie Dust Yarn
• Size US 35 needles (19mm)

Cast on 4 sts

Row 1: Knit

Row 2: Knit 1, *yarn over, knit one.* Repeat from * to * across.

Row 3: Knit stitches and drop the yarn overs created on the previous row - you should have 4 stitches on the needle when you complete this row.

Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until only 1 yard of yarn remains. Bind off and weave in yarn ends. Give a gentle tug on both ends of the scarf to allow the dropped stitches to fall into place.
