They say tragedy brings us closer together. On March 11, 2011, Japan suffered an earthquake and tsunami leaving extreme destruction and devastation in their wake. It was a tragedy with effects that will last for decades.
Designer, Yumiko Alexander needed to help in some way and connect with her homeland. In Japanese culture, it is believed that handmade items are very valuable and special. In that regard, she created this Dan Doh-Knitted Hug for Japan Scarf to offer something special to those who have lost so much.
