I just finished up this adorable hat this morning, so here it is as a free knitting pattern!
The hat features Plymouth Bazinga yarn. It's a bulky weight thick and thin yarn and comes in bright fun colors that are self striping. To me, it's a perfect yarn for knitting hats.

Bazinga Hat Free Knitting Pattern
Gauge: 3 stitches per inch on US 11 needles
Sizes: Baby (Child, Adult)
Hat Circumference: 15 (17, 19)"
You will need:
- 1 (2, 2) balls Plymouth Bazinga Yarn
- Size US 11 circular 16" knitting needles
- Size US 11 double pointed knitting needles
Using circular needles, cast On 42 (48, 54) stitches. Join, making sure not to twist the stitches.
Work in stockinette stitch (knit every round) for 5 (6, 7)"
When decreasing, change to double pointed needles as necessary.
Size Adult, begin on round 1. Size Child begin on round 2. Size Baby begin on round 3.
Round 1 (Knit 7, k2tog), repeat around.
Round 2 (Knit 6, k2tog), repeat around.
Round 3 (Knit 5, k2tog), repeat around.
Round 4 (Knit 4, k2tog), repeat around.
Round 5 (Knit 3, k2tog), repeat around.
Round 6 (Knit 2, k2tog), repeat around.
Round 7 (Knit 1, k2tog), repeat around.
Round 8 (K2tog), repeat around.
Cut yarn. Thread the yarn through the remaining stitches. Draw up tight and anchor. Weave in all ends.
