Knit a fun and easy scarf! This lace pattern is so easy to knit; I worked on it while at the beach, in the school car loop, and while watching TV. Since every row is the same, it's easy to remember and you can work on it where ever you go.
Completed Scarf Measures: 6.5" wide x 60" long
You will need:
- 1 ball Ironstone Hot Stuff Yarn
- Size US 10.5 needles
Cast on 20 stitches
Every Row: Knit 1, *yarn over, knit next 2 stitches together.* Repeat from * to * across to last stitch, knit last stitch.
Work until only 1 yard of yarn remains or to desired length.
Bind off and weave in yarn ends.
Did you sew the ends together to make a cowl? How long did you make it?

ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteThis is a regular rectangular scarf. We just draped it around the neck to show off the lace a bit more. The completed scarf measures 6.5" x 60".
Happy knitting! :)
Thanks for sharing! What a great idea for a project where you can actually visit with others while knitting. Currently working on a shawl with an 8 row pattern and I have to think about it all the time. Plus a great way to try lace yarn. There's so many beautiful ones but they get pricey. One skein would be affordable!
ReplyDeleteI clicked on the link for the yarn but it's not showing up on the site. What is the weight of the yarn so I can find an appropriate substitute? Thanks!
