Sock Review: Berroco Comfort Sock Yarn

Being a bit of a fiber snob, I wasn't sure what to think about a man made sock yarn. But, the second my hand connected with the ball of yarn, I fell in love with Berroco Comfort Sock yarn. First of all, it doesn't have that "acylic-y" feel you often get with man-made fibers. Comfort sock is light and soft with a wool type feel, but it's actually a super fine nylon & super fine acrylic blend. It's great for people with wool allergies and it's machine washable (always a plus for sock knitting). What I love most about this yarn are the color combinations. The colors are rich and stylish. I love the new Fair Isle prints in bright colors such as: Beach House, Cosmopolitan, and Fruit Cocktail.
Another plus about Berroco Comfort Sock yarn, the price! Comfort Sock is only $7.29/ball. At a generous yardage of 447 yards per ball, you'll only need one ball to make a pair of average size socks.

Baby Boutique!

My mom just finished this adorable sweater for baby. She found it in
the Children's Knits book from Melissa Matthay. My mom knit her sweater out of Plymouth's Baby Boutique Yarn. She needed 2 balls of yellow, and one ball each of the other 3 colors. As my mom mentioned to me, she loved working with the Baby Boutique yarn, "nice colors, so soft, and very nice to work with!"

Consider machine washable Baby Boutique for your next baby knitting project!

Marvelous Marl Wools from Plymouth

New arrival from Plymouth Yarn
Get your needles ready! You'll want to have them ready to knit Plymouth Galway Marls. All the softness you've come to love from this worsted weight yarn, in bright twisted shades. Marls are also great for felting. If you've never felted with a marled yarn, it is beautiful. The colors blend together like a watercolor, reminiscent of a Monet painting.
